Scott Miller is originally from Buffalo, NY and he still believes every year that the Buffalo Bills are going to the Super Bowl and the Buffalo Sabres are going to win the Stanley Cup (poor guy). Scott grew up on the shores of Lake Erie and is an avid boater and fisherman. He graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Finance. He also played basketball while there and remains a proud ECU Pirate and active Alumni to this day. Professionally, Scott has held numerous leadership positions over two decades of work. He served as Sales Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Regional Director of Operations for Yacht Clubs of the Americas, a hospitality based five-star Marina and country club environment. He has built, operated, and sold a successful restaurant in Western New York (yes, a Buffalo Bills themed Tavern and Eatery)!
In 2013, after selling his restaurant, he felt a calling to make a difference and wanted to work with seniors. Having experienced personal loss and caring for elders in his own family, he took on the position of Life Enrichment Director for Emeritus Senior Living. It was there that he built one of the best enrichment programs in the company. He was later promoted to Business Office Director, Regional Business Office Trainer, and served as an Assistant Executive Director in a 140-unit community serving almost 200 residents. The operational experience provided Scott with a strong working knowledge of what it takes to run successful senior living communities. He joined Raydian Properties in 2016 as the Sales & Marketing Director for Fox Trail Senior Living and later served as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Raydian. Scott joined the Harmony team in August of 2017 as a seasoned veteran and Executive Director. He brings a winning approach and collaborative mindset to his day to day while working driving his passion for senior care into the hearts of each and every resident he serves.
